From 2018 to 2023, Alfa Romeo was a partner and name sponsor of the Sauber Motorsport Formula 1 team. A legendary period with remarkable drivers such as Kimi Räikkönen, Charles Leclerc, Marcus Ericsson, Antonio Giovinazzi, Robert Kubica as well as Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu. Known as Alfa Romeo F1 Team, the drivers and constructors have built up a broad fan base.
The success of the Alfa Romeo F1 Team is rooted in a commitment to cutting-edge technology and innovation. The collaboration with Alfa Romeo reflects a shared vision, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the world of motorsports.
As part of the Formula 1 races, we have raced on the major circuits of Alfa Romeo's Italian homeland, as well as on countless race tracks around the world. Just think of Silverstone (UK), Circuit de Monaco, Autódromo José Carlos Pace (Brazil), Circuit of The Americas (Texas) and Zandvoort (Netherlands).
2024 marks the end of an era: Alfa Romeo and Sauber are going their separate ways. The previous co-name sponsor Stake moves to the top position and becomes the new name sponsor of the racing team led by Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu.
We would like to thank everyone for the exciting and inspiring time we had with Alfa Romeo!
The new name of the Formula 1 team is now Stake F1 Team and has already made big waves with the celebrated unveiling in London by Drake.
